Maria De Lourdes Guzman, 61, of Twin Falls, died Friday, April 17, 2020 at home.
Maria was born on March 16, 1959 at Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. She grew up in Guadalajara with her siblings and was a great student that loved education. She didn’t complete her schooling but later in life when she was in California she went to school to become a medical assistant and excelled.
She had many jobs, from working in a neon sign factory to medical assistance to being a cocktail waitress. She always did what she could to provide for her family.
My mother loved to dance, sing, laugh and make people laugh. She was full of joy and loved to help wherever it was needed. Besides being a great conversationalist, she was an even better listener and would always have the best advice whether she knew you for years or minutes.
Maria is survived by her five children, Jorge Hernandez, Georgina Guzman, Carolina Guzman, Abel Vielmas, Carlos Guzman; her 10 grandkids, and her boyfriend of 14 years, Francisco Montoya. She also left behind her 4 y/o red nose pitbull, Hennessie. She loved Hennie dearly and would often make her home cooked meals. Hennessie misses her so much already.
Cremation is under the care of Serenity Funeral Chapel Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services of Idaho, Twin Falls. Condolences may be shared at www.serenityfuneralchapel.com.
