Linda Louise Hakala, 67, of Twin Falls, passed Thursday, January 2, 2020, at home with Danielle, Misti, and her BFF of 50 years, Barbara Sterling by her side.
Linda Hakala was born on Jan 30th, 1952 in Yuma AZ. She was the youngest of 6 kids. Linda graduated from Jordan High in Long Beach, California. Linda had a daughter, Danielle, who was 12 when Linda met Craig Hakala in 1987. They fell head over hills in love with one another! Linda’s father passed in July of 2011. Linda and Craig decided they wanted to move to Twin Falls, Idaho. Unfortunately, Craig was taken by a tragic automobile accident in Dec. of 2013. She never stopped missing him! She sure did love him. Linda’s daughter Danielle gave her a grandson, Andrue Smith. Andrue became the sparkle that would illuminate in her eyes whenever she heard his name. They were inseparable! She loved her grandson more than life itself.
Linda touched the lives of many and will be sorely missed. “Mom, Drue and I will miss you terribly. Have fun with Dad, grandma, and grandpa. Love you bunches!”
She is survived by her daughter, Danielle Smith (Angela); grandson, Andrue Smith; granddaugher, Nita; sister, Teri Cosgrove, and mother-in-law, Patti Hakala.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Garnett Lees; her father, Zayne Lees, and her beloved husband, Craig Hakala.
