JOEL ALEXANDER BRADY JR.
Joel Alexander Brady, Jr., 81, of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away April 9, 2020. A victim of COVID-19.
Joel was born August 29, 1938 to Joel Sr. and Faye (Stearley) Brady of Burger, Idaho. Joel attended high school in Filer and later transferred to Twin Falls High School after the family moved to a farm south of Twin Falls. Joel graduated high school in 1957. Shortly after the graduation Joel joined the Navy. He served on the ship USS ESTES for four years in the far east. After he served, he met his first wife Melba in the 1960’s and they moved to Martinez, California, where he owned a mobile home company. Joel and Melba had two children together, son, Lonnie, and daughter, Alane. Joel and Melba later adopted two more kids Allen and Lee Brady. Joel and Melba divorced, and he decided to move back to Idaho, sometime in the 1970’s.
Joel moved to a farm in the Twin falls area like his father had done many years before. Shortly after, he met and married the love of his life, Mona, on November 13, 1986. Joel took on the responsibilities of being a loving father to her two children, Shaun and Heidi. After a year they decided to move to Redmond, Oregon. They lived near a little town called Crooked River Ranch where he was a farm mechanic. In 1988 the family decided to move back to Idaho where Joel was a farmer/mechanic in the Eden area until he retired in the year 2000. Joel and Mona adopted their granddaughter Chantelle in 2005. Joel loved fishing and camping with his family and his friends.
Joel is survived by his loving wife, Mona Brady of Twin Falls, Idaho; his son, Shaun and wife Courtney Sterner of Buhl, Idaho; his daughter, Heidi and husband Mike Shipp of Twin Falls, Idaho; granddaughter, Chantelle and husband Brian King of Twin Falls, Idaho; his sons, Lonnie Brady, Allen Brady, and Lee Brady from Maine; his daughter, Alane Hesse of Forestville, California; his sister, Barbara and husband Howard Brown of Boise, Idaho; sister, Kathy and husband Gilbert Kellogg of Twin Falls, Idaho; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Joel was preceded in death by his parents, Joel Brady Sr. and Faye Brady; his sister, Jean Ghan; brothers, John Robert Brady and Richard Brady.
Joel’s final wishes were to have his ashes scattered in the mountains that he loved. He is now with our Heavenly Father. We believed God is going to have a hard time, for Joel loved to play jokes on his family and friends. Rest in peace our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother.
