On December 12, 2019, Crystal (Cabby) lost her life in a tragic car accident and she gained her wings.
On October 28, 1971, Cabby was born to James and Janice Dotson in Hailey, Idaho. She was the youngest of three children. She attended schools in Hansen and Twin Falls. She worked at AmeriPride when she was 18 years old and at 19 she became a mother to her first of three children T’Grae. Eighteen months later came Antonio, five years later she had her last child, and finally a girl, Olivia. When Olivia was a baby she married Valentine Alarcon up until his death and she never remarried.
She struggled with addiction most of her life. Until March 2017, and finally broke this cycle and started her road to success. Beginning with her job at Oasis Stop and Go on Washington and Filer, she loved her customers and they loved and enjoyed her smiles saying, “Now make good choices”.
Cabby is survived by her three children, T’Grae James Laverne Dotson of Idaho Falls, Antonio Carlos Zavala of Twin Falls, and Olivia (Omar) Cruz Ramirez of Mexico; one grandson, Angel Ramirez; brothers, James Lee Dotson of California, Frank Jansson of Nevada, James Glen Dotson of Boise, Michael Stetson Dotson of Boise, a sister, Edna (Sis) Allene Hobbs of Twin Falls; nieces Kassie (KC) Dawn (Alex) Valle, their son, Damarcus Luke, Jamie Lynn (Michael) Dye, (Shawn Parrish), and their son, Michael Ray (Little Mikey), Michelle Lee and Ricky Kemp, and their children, Blake, Dylan, and Anella; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.
She was preceded in death by her mom, Janice; dad James; one great-nephew, Frederick; a brother-in-law, Rodney; both maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, December 19, 2019, at Rock Creek Celebration Center, 320 Main Ave. North, Twin Falls. A potluck reception will follow. Potluck dishes may be delivered between 12:00 p.m.-12:45 p.m. Parking is available in the lots beside and behind the Center off of 2nd Ave. North.
