Sherry Ann (Niehuus) Grover

July 11, 1939 ~ October 6, 2019 (age 80)

Sherry Grover, 80, of Twin Falls, died Sunday, October 6, 2019, at Ashley Manor in Twin Falls.

Sherry Ann Niehuus Grover was born on July 11, 1939, to Marshall and Evelyn Jensen Niehuus in Plentywood, Montana.  She attended school in Plentywood and began working as a telephone operator and waitress while in high school.  She met a young Air Force man from Fortuna Air Base in 1956 and they were married on Dec. 17, 1957.  They had four children, born in 1958, 1959, 1960, and 1964.  Sherry and Daryl traveled for a few years with oil rigs before settling in Elko, Nevada where they raised their family.  Following Daryl’s retirement, they moved to Plentywood, MT, but could only handle the cold for four years and moved to Twin Falls, Idaho.  Sherry loved shopping for antiques, visiting her children and enjoying the nightlife until she became ill.   She spent the last two years at Ashley Manor getting the care and help she needed until her body shut down and she went to be with the Good Lord.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Daryl; children, Robin, Melonie, and Daryl Jr.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Todd; uncles, aunts, and grandparents.

Sherry will be missed by numerous family members and friends and would say, “Thank you for a lovely and nice life until the end.”

No services will be held at this time.  Cremation is under the care of Serenity Funeral Chapel Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services of Idaho, 502 2nd Ave. N, Twin Falls, ID. Condolences may be shared at www.serenityfuneralchapel.com.
