Marjorie Jean Brown
November 16, 1925 – May 26, 2018
Marge Brown, age 92, passed away Saturday morning May 26, 2018, at Chardonnay Assisted Living in Twin Falls, Idaho. Marge led a life full of exciting sojourns; her travels were vast and she was fortunate enough to spend a lot of her life in Hawaii and Arizona. Marge married Ken Brown in Burlingame, California in 1946, and lived in the bay area for a couple of years before moving to Twin Falls, Idaho, with their young son Mark. The birth of their daughter Sherry completed the family in 1951.
The Brown family spent many summers at Redfish Lake, as they co-owned the Lodge with some of their friends. This led to the family cabin, where Marge was inspired to paint some of her lovely art work. Marge was proud of the fact she spent 65 summers at Redfish Lake, absorbing the beauty of the surroundings.
Marge was a lover of life and relished every social gathering; she was known for setting a beautiful table and loved to entertain. Her fringed flamboyant fashion and her stylish hair never disappointed her guests. The game of Bridge played a large role in her life, and her constant thirst for knowledge led her to taking endless courses at the College of Southern Idaho.
Marge was a juried artist and painted with great passion. Marge lived life on her own terms; and had an enormous love for bling and excitement for life.
Following Ken’s death in 1991, Marge continued to live in Arizona until returning to Twin Falls in 2010. Marge was blessed with two children, Mark Brown and Sherry Brown Ritchie, six grandchildren, Cole Sirucek, Dax Sirucek, Jill Sirucek Adepoju, Ashley Brown Tautkus, Trevor Brown and Olivia Brown, and five great-grandchildren, whom she all loved dearly.
Marge had a strong spiritual connection and personal relationship with God.
The family looks forward to a celebration of her life this summer. She will be sorely missed.
The family would like to acknowledge the kindness shown to Marge by Chardonnay Assisted Living and Idaho Home Health and Hospice.
