John Erling Nipper passed away November 8, 2018 at Ashley Manor, in Twin Falls, Idaho.
John was born June 24, 1948 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Arthur Jack and Marjorie Jean (Payne) Nipper who were from Buhl, Idaho. He attended Buhl High School and Albion Christian College. He married Patricia Ambrose in 1968. They had 4 children together: Devon, Zachary, Sarreah and Zebany. He worked lumber mills in Oregon, and for Western Pacific RR (later UPRR) in Nevada for many years. John and Pat eventually divorced, and he moved to Tooele, Utah, working for a chemical company until his health became an issue. In Utah he married Frances Kay Evans, and adopted her son, David. They later divorced and he returned to Nevada for a time, then back to Idaho and lived with his daughter and son-in-law, Daniel Vanderpool, until they could no longer care for him in their home. The last few months he was in care facilities.
John is survived by his children, 8 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a sister, Geri Lusk.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack Edward Nipper, and sister, Mary Jean Baker.
There will be a wake starting at 2 p.m.,Sunday, November 18th, 2018 at 455 Jackson St., Twin Falls, with a memorial service to be announced later.
